The OS X versions of mac navigators have incredibly increased in power and stability. Neither Mozilla, Omniweb, Chimera and even Netscape 7 can be considered as reliable. Disasters is more apropiate. But Mozilla's Camino and FireFox/Firebird are excellent alternatives to Apple's Safari. ICab is excessively strict about codes and tends to disrespect website's screening. It also quits sometimes.
I did not notice the strange similarities between Prince and Apple before certain technical other difficulties came up to me. Initially "forced" to work APPLE for professional reasons (APPLE holds the communication's agencies by the bollo *** since the invention of the Desktop Publishing in 1984), I quickly realised… It's like a musical passion which submerges you and will not ever set you free. From his famous system 7 to OS 8.6 and then 9.X, I quickly transformed myself into a perfect militant of the Apple cause which makes you "think différement". A vertiginous evolution of systems and machines which did not make ?me give up my resistance against universal monsters like Microsoft. That makes me think of these Rock or techno rebels, fans of Artists freed from the slave dictat of these same musical technological industries… An arbitrary choice which has a full price, because to find the Mac compatible peripheral and the software which seems only to exist on PC is pretty impossible, and trying to emulate the versatility of a PC, it's a true dream! When Steve Jobs, chairman of APPLE, announces a "new direction" which one can clearly regard as designed to an elite, it's quite disapointing! After thousands of $ spent in the name of Apple, one finds oneself different, okay, but more isolated too, one even feels sometimes completely abandoned by the Cupertino firm. For example, when you want to connect this cheap PC microphone or this USB adapter, not recognized at all by your Mac, you just wanna die! Even worse, when you walk in front of a whole ray of 56k PC modems, how do you feel in front of only ONE Mac model? Sucker! Then one comforts oneself with collectors: old pirated "classic" software ! Bootlegs Mac! Fortunately what APPLE has a core of fans, ensuring him comfortable incomes… and it innovates too! The superb softwares Itune and Safari, it is pure masterpieaces! With its very "new direction", will APPLE find its higher level like in the Eighties? With the System X.something? The problem is that this system requires a powerful machine and put the "consumer" in a spiral of perp ?etual update. Personally, I tested OS X.2. Résult: I loose the use of 1/4 of my Mac softwares and 90% of velocity! Admittedly system X brings us closer to the Windows (2000 and XP) world, itself inspired by the first OS 8, but like much of data-processing programs, better it is to use the first stable and functional version. OS X is a sum of redundancies and of new complexity very new to APPLE. A creative surproductivity? Overflowed fans who can not resigned to buy and adore a planetary inovator? The similarities are more than disconcerting… And there's is controversy too: did you know that the logo of APPLE, the rainbow apple, is to honor a gay engineer? Controversy. APPLE want s full control of each aspect of its creations, with an aversion for piracy. I adore Prince, I could finally never get rid of this Artist. With Prince, I found "the" different thing. With both Prince and APPLE, since 1984, do I "think different"? It is true that it is sometimes painful to support the minority, but finaly, these two disturbed and capricious creators let us see more coloured horizons than anything else. APPLE and Prince: same combat!
d'or en archives !
For the
simplicity and its escaped lightness preserved from the legendary System
7. Is the
insodables depths of its architecture invivible for us? Yes, and it's
so much better that way! For the multitude of softwares avalaible on "classic"
which have worked fine for over 20 years now! And on the hacking side,
it's a true gold mine! And at last, the best is its portability on "light"
machines. As things are going, imagine all the datas on your 550 gigas
OS X powerfull machine being crashed on a Saturday night! Anyway, how
would you have saved all these 550 gigas?
